Hello and welcome to the Lawn Fawn Hearts Blog Hop! We have all come together today to make cards for a wonderful cause, Cards For Kids! We hope to encourage you to also make cards for this great cause and have fun along the way, too! So please hop along with us, and make sure to leave comments as there will be prizes for commenters and participants! So let's get going! Also, if you are lost in the hop, you can always start at the beginning at the Lawn Fawn blog. Thank you so much for hopping along with us today!

You should have arrived here from Jennie's blog :) Welcome!!

I was going for a simple, happy look for this card! I'm hoping it will cheer somebody up. What do you think?

Sadly the photo doesn't show the bright happy colors! But I love the ice cream cone :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and if you haven't already, I encourage you to participate in the Cards For Kids program! Your next stop on the hop is Carly :) Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win!

This is Happiness

Finally! A finished layout :) My daughter and her cat are crazy together. They love, they fight and wrestle, they play. I think for Liza it's a lot like having a sibling, only easier (little does she know ;)

A little close up of the happiness key that I picked up at a local gift shop.
I also used some special buttons from my late Grandmother's HUGE collection. Genuine vintage ;)

More cards from the CupCards to Go July Kit

I've been busy with the CupCards to Go July kit! I'm having so much fun with it!!

This one is my favorite :) I added a little Elle's Studio tag!

The cherry ribbon on this card was some ribbon that I've had hanging around. I think I bought it on clearance at Michael's. So glad to finally have a use for it :)

Sorry for the poor photos. The cards are much cuter in person, really ;)

Oh, I'm Still Here...

Yes I am! I'm still here, just not actively! I've realized that maybe if I didn't spend quite so much time reading other people's blogs then I would perhaps have more time to post things on my own. Maybe...

I made this note card set using some fun and oh so cute goodies from the CupCards to Go July kit. I only recently discovered CupCards to Go and I must say, I think I found a new favorite :) I also made this card set for the challenge here on Danni's blog. She does beautiful work that I find so inspiring!

It's her birthday!

This angel, this little girl, just turned 10 today. It's hard to believe that 10 years has gone by as quickly as it has. I'm bracing myself for the next 10 and will do my best to hold on to each and every little moment for as long as I can. And I will certainly work on capturing and preserving the moments like the one below...

The annual Sandwich Fair! It wouldn't be autumn in NH without it :)

For My Mom :)

This is it. The project is finally done. Though it's just a little book it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and my heart.

This is the first project I've made that's all about my Mom. She died 17 years ago when I was 17 years old. That's a long time. It's a lot of grieving, a lot of tears, a lot of anger. It's also a lot of growing and living too. This little book is something that reminds me of some of the "little things" about my Mom that made her who she was. I'm also reminded that this is the reason I love scrap booking. It can be so therapeutic and preserve so much...even the "little things".

All the patterned paper used is from the Basic Grey Porcelain Collection.

Clearing the dust off...

Okay so things have gotten a little dusty around here on my blog :( (I don't think anyone reads it anyway). I spent some time at a fellow scrapper/friend's house over the weekend where she held a class and she inspired me! I need to scrap more! She has 5 children and home school's them and still finds the time to scrap, submit work for design teams and blog about all of it on a regular basis! So what if I work full time, I can find time to do this!Right?? Well I'll keep trying anyway :)

I'm actually working on a little book of my Mom. I should have started it when I posted those pictures but the avoidance monster reared its ugly head! Better late than never though, and I've been working pretty diligently so I hope to have it finished soon. I'm actually quite pleased with how it's turning out so far and can't wait to post pictures...even if no one is looking :p
